South West manufacturing champions gather at the Science Park

The stars of the South West’s manufacturing sector are gathering at Bristol & Bath Science Park tomorrow for Insider’s Manufacturing Champions breakfast.

The event, which is on Tuesday February 11 at 7.30am, will be an opportunity to hear from national names about how they are promoting innovation and what they are doing to increases sales and profits.

Speakers are Guy Newell, managing director at Butcombe Breweries; Chris Smith, director at Marshfield Bakery; Martin Thatcher, managing director at Thatchers Cider, and Mark Holbrow, director of engineering and product development at telecommunications testing company Spirent.

They will be on hand to offer advice and expertise, and discuss how they are overcoming the challenges they face.

Bonnie Dean, chief executive at the Science Park, said:

“The South West boasts manufacturers that compete on a global stage and this is partly thanks to their commitment to innovation, creativity and investment in technology – all of which are central to the Park’s own ethos.
