Science Park to host national Manufacturing Summit

03.02.12

The Bristol & Bath Science Park has been chosen as the venue for the Advanced Manufacturing Conference later this month.

Run by the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) and taking place on 23 February 2012, this major event will be attended by key industry leaders and senior government Ministers.

Subjects for discussion will include the commercialisation of technology, and how to bridge the gap between business and world class research – ideas that lie at the heart of the Bristol & Bath Science Park.

Bonnie Dean, chief executive of the Bristol & Bath Science Park, said:

"We are delighted that BIS has chosen to hold the second Manufacturing Summit at the Science Park. On the Park and in the immediate vicinity are some of the most advanced and research-led manufacturing companies in the world. The conference is an excellent opportunity to exchange information and to explore new ideas. The exhibition area will be a showcase for new technologies and products developed and made in the South West."
