Science Park – Hogwarts for a day
More than 30 children visited the Science Park earlier this month dressed as their favourite fictional characters to celebrate World Book Day.
Lemony Snicket, Cruella DeVille, a Musketeer and Mario amongst others visited the Science Park last week from Year 5 of local Blackhorse Primary School as part of World Book Day. Inspired to read they enjoyed the comfy chairs and quiet of the Forum’s mezzanine and were joined by some of the tenants and staff of the Innovation Centre who spent time listening to them read. The visit ended with the awarding of certificates and book tokens for Mr B’s Emporium of Reading Delights for the three best costumes on the day
Richard Pitkin, Innovation Centre Director, said:
“Judging from the cheers and applause when the Awards were given out the children had a fantastic time at the Science Park. They clearly loved dressing up and spending time here as this letter received from one of the Award winners shows”:
Thank you for my certificate and voucher. I had a really nice time, so thank you for having Year 5 and I hope I can come again soon
